Service Description

Our general public tour, which leaves every day at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., includes part of the historical center, La Candelaria, where we talk about the history of Bogotá and Colombia. During the tour we also visit a small coffee shop, where we tour the roastery and talk about how beans are prepared, as well as Colombia's coffee culture and economy. Participants can then order a coffee prepared with excelsior beans (they pay) or a tea or fruit juice. They also sell bags of quality Colombian coffee beans and ground coffee. The tour includes some of Bogotá's most outstanding street art, in La Candelaria, Teusaquillo and along 26th Street. We talk about Bogotá's graffiti history and culture. During the tour we visit a traditional market, where we taste many of Colombia's huge variety of exotic fruits and vegetables. The tour visits various neighborhoods, including La Candelaria, el Centro Internacional, Teusaquillo and Los Martires. We also pass by sites such as Parque la Independencia, the Bullfighting Stadium, el Museo Nacional, the La Merced neighborhood, el Parque Nacional, Ugly Betty's house, the Parkway, Parque el Renacimiento, the Central Cemetery and others. The route and order of the stops varies subject to the weather, the group's interests and cycling ability, other events in the city, etc.
