Our general public Free Walking Tour departs every day at 10:00 a.m. and takes you through the heart of Bogotá’s historic center, La Candelaria. During the tour, we explore the rich history of Bogotá and Colombia, from pre‑Hispanic times to the present day. Along the way, we visit locations such as a traditional local market, the main square, and even try tejo, Colombia’s unique national game. La Candelaria is also famous for its vibrant street art, and throughout the tour we highlight some of the area’s most outstanding murals. We discuss the history, meaning, and cultural importance of graffiti in Bogotá, offering insight into how street art reflects the city’s social and political identity. At the traditional market, guests get the chance to taste a wide variety of Colombia’s exotic fruits. The route and order of stops may vary depending on weather conditions, the group’s interests, and walking pace, ensuring a flexible and enjoyable experience for everyone.
