Walking Tours
On our walking tours, you’ll see the La Candelaria neighborhood up close, meet its people and learn the stories behind its centuries-old buildings, plazas and historical monuments – which played key roles in the history of Colombia and Latin America. We might walk through a traditional market and sample local fruits, visit the emerald district, admire centuries-old churches, shop in handicrafts markets, visit some of the neighborhood’s many famous museums, including the Gold Museum and the museum honoring painter/sculptor Fernando Botero, or dine in one of La Candelaria’s many restaurants.
And if you’re interested in history and human rights, you can also learn about Colombia’s troubled and violent past and present, including its ongoing civil war.
Want to visit other parts of Bogotá? We also lead walking tours, sometimes combined with bus/taxi rides, to places like the National University, the bullfighting stadium and the Independence, National and Simon Bolivar Parks, and the National and Gaitan museums. Or, we can show you where to get the best deals on clothing, handicrafts or Colombian foods. And, of course, we can also take you to the city’s nightlife areas, the Zona Rosa and Parque de la 93.
Prices vary according to the tour’s length and number of people. Write us at: bogotabiketours (at) gmail (dot) com or call: 57-312-502-0554.
